Onehunga Peoples Garden is a not-for-profit incorporated society developed by the local community to enrich our beautiful Onehunga environment for the benefit of all.

Since 2013, we have been removing rubbish, planting natives, managing weeds and restoring the waterways at 64 Arthur St. to repair the habitat of native birds and other fauna. We also promote the eco-science and history of the site.

To get involved, please sign up to our mailing list below for working bees and other events!

If you are an individual or group who would like to do a special working bee, or look after a part of the garden on a regular basis, please get in touch at onehungapeoplesgarden@gmail.com and we'll book you in!

Enjoy this time lapse video of our very first planting day back in 2015!
